This chicken noodle recipe is easy to prepare.
You can even freeze it for an evening snack if required. However make sure that you try and feed your baby with foods that are fresh as the nutrients are still active within them. If you are a vegetarian you could even substitute tofu for chicken. This recipe is high in proteins and carbs which are essential to fuel your baby’s energy.
Make sure that the noodles are cooked well so that your baby finds it easy to mash it up between their gums if they still haven’t developed their set of teeth. Chicken should be finely shredded for ease in chewing. If your baby is a bit older, you can cut small cubes of chicken instead, they will enjoy the texture and flavor.
Chicken Noodle Ingredients
- Chinese egg noodles – 150 gms
- Chicken stock – 250 ml
- Peas (frozen or fresh) – 50 gms
- Dark soy sauce – 3 tsp – (optional if your baby is younger)
- Frozen or can drained sweetcorn – 75 gm
- Chicken, cooked and shredded – 100 gm
- Cornflour – 1 tsp
- Spring onion chopped finely – 1
Prepare the noodles as instructed on the packet, drain and set aside. Heat the wok over a medium heat, add the stock, soy sauce, chicken and vegetables. Simmer for 2 minutes till the flavors are incorporated in the chicken.
Mix the cornflour in 2 tsps of cool water and add it to the stock. Stir continuously till the liquid thickens a bit. Add the noodles and finely chopped spring onions and stir fry for a couple of minutes. Serve it nice and warm.
